Educator Terms of Service

The Commitment Mechanism

You set a minimum number of kids your activity needs. Families commit with payment details. When you hit your minimum, everyone gets charged and your activity runs. Don't hit it? Nothing happens. No charges, no obligations.

Without Free Trial

You set your minimum (8 kids? 12 kids? Your choice)
Families commit with payment details (not charged yet)
When minimum reached: All families charged, you get paid, activity confirmed
If minimum not reached: Commitments released, no one pays anything

With Free Trial (Optional)

You set your minimum
Families commit with payment details (not charged yet)
When enough families commit: Free trial session happens
After free trial session: Families have 48 hours to decide (continue or cancel)
If enough say YES to meet your minimum: All charged, you get paid, activity runs
If not enough: You decide to open anyway with fewer kids or cancel

Your Responsibilities

When your activity reaches minimum and you get paid:

Run all sessions as described
Deliver the activity, location, and schedule you posted
Maintain reasonable quality and safety
Communicate changes to families

If you must cancel mid-term:

Find a qualified replacement, OR
Refund families for remaining sessions

Community Standards

Don't:

Run unsafe or inappropriate activities for kids
Lie about what you're offering
Discriminate against families
Abuse family contact information
Collect payments outside Horaxtra for activities listed here

Violations = activity listings removed or account termination.

Liability

We provide the platform. You run the activities.

We're not liable for:

What happens during your activities (injuries, accidents, incidents)
Disputes between you and families
Quality or safety of your instruction
Your compliance with local laws

You're responsible for:

Getting your own liability insurance
Running safe, age-appropriate activities
Resolving issues with families

If disputes happen, we'll help mediate. But we're not responsible for outcomes.

Fees & Payment Processing

Listing activities on Horaxtra is free.

When your activity reaches minimum and payments are collected, we (and our payment partner Stripe) collect fees. Fees may vary slightly based on your location and the payment methods used by families.

You're responsible for paying any additional fees or taxes associated with your use of Horaxtra.

Third-Party Links & Payment Processing

Horaxtra may contain links to other websites (educator websites, social profiles, etc.). When you access third-party websites, you do so at your own risk. We don't control or endorse those sites.

Horaxtra is partnered with Stripe for payment processing. When you list activities and receive payments, you're also agreeing to Stripe's terms of service.

Intellectual Property & Content

Who owns what:

Horaxtra owns the platform and any content we create (videos we produce, photos we take, marketing materials)
You own your content (your activity descriptions, your videos, your photos)

Your responsibilities:

Don't post anything that violates copyright or other people's rights
Don't copy, modify, or redistribute Horaxtra's platform or materials

If someone violates your copyright:

Contact us: hola@horaxtra.com. We'll investigate and may remove the content. Educators who repeatedly violate copyright will have all activity listings removed and lose access to Horaxtra.

Deleting Activity Listings

You can delete activity listings by emailing hola@horaxtra.com.

You can only delete listings that haven't reached minimum yet. Once an activity confirms and families are charged, you must complete it (or arrange refunds).

We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

If We Get Sued Because of You

If someone sues us because of something you did (violating these terms, breaking laws, issues during your activities), you agree to cover our legal costs and any damages.

We may take over the legal defense if needed, and you agree to cooperate.

Governing Law & Disputes

If you have an issue, contact us first: hola@horaxtra.com. We'd rather work it out than go to court.

If legal action does happen, these terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes go to Barcelona courts.

General Provisions

These terms are the entire agreement between you and Horaxtra.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

We can modify or discontinue services at any time. We'll notify you of significant changes.
