Refund Policy

We don't sell physical products - we help families get into great after-school activities. Here's how our payment and refund process works with our commitment-based model.

When Nothing Happens (No Charge)

If not enough families join the activity:

  • Your card is never charged
  • We only saved your payment details via Stripe to verify the card works
  • Nothing happens, no payment to refund
  • Try again for the next session if you want

When You Don't Get a Refund

Once a session is confirmed and your card is charged:

  • You've committed, the educator has planned, other families are counting on the group
  • No refunds for changing your mind
  • This is how we keep activities stable for everyone

Mid-Term Cancellations

Life happens, we get it. If you must leave halfway through a confirmed activity:

Option 1: Help find a replacement family

  • We'll help you spread the word
  • Once someone takes your spot, you're off the hook
  • You get a refund for remaining sessions

Option 2: Pay through the term

  • Support the educator and other families who planned around the full group
  • Same as breaking a lease - there are consequences

Emergency situations: Email us at hola@horaxtra.com. We'll work with you to find solutions when genuine emergencies arise.

How Refunds Work (When They Actually Happen)

When we do need to refund you (like if an educator cancels):

  • All refunds go through Stripe (same way you paid)
  • Processing time: 2-5 business days depending on your bank
  • Full amount: We don't take fees from refunds
  • Same payment method: Refund goes back to the card you used

Educator-Related Issues

If an educator cancels or doesn't deliver what was promised:

  • Full refund, no matter how far into the activity you are
  • We'll also help you find alternative activities if available
  • The educator bears the cost, not you

Commitment Changes Before Confirmation

You can cancel your commitment anytime before the enrollment deadline - no charge happens, no penalty. We get it, plans change.

After the deadline but before confirmation: Contact us immediately. We might be able to help depending on the situation.

What We Can't Refund

  • Missed sessions due to your child being sick or having other commitments
  • Personal dissatisfaction with confirmed activities (but email us - we want to know if something's wrong)
  • Schedule conflicts that come up after you've committed
