La Floresta Drama Summer Camp
Ben Kay here ๐
I've been teaching acting and music in theatres and schools for 20 years. Best part? Watching a shy child speak their first line on stage, light up at the applause, and realise they understand their character's feelings โ and maybe their own โ in a whole new way.
What we do
A creative summer camp where children build confidence, imagination and communication skills โ through drama, play and storytelling. Each day is a mix of drama games, improvisation, character work and group creative activities in a relaxed, supportive environment. The focus is on participation and self-expression, not performance pressure. Children explore ideas, try on characters and collaborate โ all through play. This is not a scripted play. No lines to memorise, no pressure to perform. Just creativity, teamwork and fun. ๐ค Friday โ Live Storytelling A professional storyteller performs a live 1-hour show for the children. Families are warmly invited to attend and share the experience. ๐ฅ The team Led by Ben, an experienced drama teacher with 20 years in the classroom, supported by one assistant throughout the week. ๐ Each day includes Drama games ยท Improvisation ยท Storytelling ยท Character work ยท Group creative activities ๐ Who is it for? Children who enjoy being creative, like being around others, and are curious about drama โ whether they've done it before or not.
